Toro Presso – Good News For Aguri, Bad News For Honda

Good News For Aguri, Bad News For Honda

Super Aguri’s financial problems appear to be over. In an extremely late deal, they have forged an agreement backed by Magma Group. The driver line-up of Anthony Davidson and Takuma Sato is expected to be confirmed, and it would appear that Super Aguri are safe for another year. Team founder, Aguri Suzuki said: “I am looking forward to a successful and long-lasting collaboration with Magma Group.”

Bad news for the Honda A-Team, though. The new Honda car, the RA108, had been going well in pre-season practice. However, the car has yet to pass the mandatory crash tests put in place by the FIA.

It has been reported that the car has failed tests related to both its front and rear wings. If the problems are not ironed out sharpish, Honda could find themselves excluded from races. They will still be able to take part at Melbourne on Sunday, but only at the discretion of the FIA.
