It’s kinda sad how we’re still talking about a sex tape but I don’t think this will turn people away from the sport. Any controversy in F1 attracts people to watch the sport so I think that if it gets people talking about F1 then I welcome it. Though I have to admit at least Spygate was interesting……now we just have a bloody sex tape to talk about.

Lauda thinks Lewis has got worse this season…..it’s only been 3 races so far so far too early to make judgement. Though having said that…..if it continues like this for the next couple of races I might think the same. I do think that making him team leader though is having an effect on him.

Well, I don’t think you can blame James Allen for that… I rather think that was the way Ferrari and Schumacher so dominated everything – and cars never overtook each other. If there is no overtaking, then there will be less interest. It’s as simple as that. I agree that James’ voice isn’t able to convey excitement like old Murray could though…

Murray was a one-off. High pitched voice, straining to remember which decade he was in, confusing driver with driver, but in such a nice way. Allen makes mistakes too, but with no grace, no style and no excitement. Heck, even I could do better.

I don’t imagine it’d be much comfort for DC or MW if the car is so susceptible to falling to pieces; hopefully it’s a quick fix for RBR – the damage and danger to life caused by these machines falling apart under the extreme stresses and strains doesn’t bare thinking about…

Incidentally, another Ferrari failure – albeit in practice this time – with Raikkonen’s car. So, what do you think has caused them so many reliability issues already this season? Is it anything to do with the McLaren-manufactured standard ECU – as Ferrari seem to be stating?

Would it be too harsh of me to say that James Allen is the reason F1 declined in the UK between 2002 and 2006? OK, maybe it is.

But Murray Walker – the VOICE of Formula One for so so many years – we all loved him. Yes, he made mistakes, yes he got confused, but that was who Murray was, and it was his raw passion for action that made him great.
