Timo Glock Relegated Down The Grid
Toyota’s Timo Glock, who qualified an excellent 9th place has been demoted to 19th place following two penalties. He was initially docked 5 places for an unscheduled gearbox change, and another 5 for impeding Mark Webber.
So Timo becomes the first driver to get hit by the gearbox rule. But impeding Mark Webber…? How about Kimi Raikkonen gets relegated 5 for impeding Robert Kubica on his flying lap?
Not only that, but Glock’s team mate Jarno Trulli, along with Jenson Button, Giancarlo Fisichella and Nico Rosberg were reprimanded but not penalised, as they set their fastest laps under a yellow flag. Something we might need to keep our eye on for future sessions.
